The reinstatement of YES Bank’s Rs 8,415-crore additional tier-1 (AT1) bonds following the Supreme Court’s ruling will erode the lender’s common equity tier-1 (CET1) capital ratio by 250 basis points, even as its overall Tier 1 capital ratio is expected to remain unchanged. In an exchange filing on Friday, the private sector lender said the reinstatement would reduce its CET1 capital, including profits, by 250 basis points based on its capital position as of June 30.
