Yes Bank shares gained a little more than 1% on Monday, following a 17% plunge over the past two sessions, as the private lender reported a 65% year-on-year increase in Q2 net profit to Rs 1,080 crore. The lender, however, said the figure does not reflect the impact of a Supreme Court ruling that set aside the bank's 2020 write-off of Rs 8,400 crore worth of additional tier-1 (AT1) bonds. The Mumbai-based lender would have reported a quarterly loss of Rs 5,217 crore if the impact of the Supreme Court’s ruling was recognised in the earnings print, the bank said in a regulatory filing.
