Rupee flat at 94.47 against the dollar; Jio IPO flows support outlook but crude remains a risk
The rupee is expected to trade in the 94.15–94.60 range, with continued IPO inflows supporting the currency, though month-end dollar demand and high hedging costs may limit gains

The rupee opened flat on October 22 after an eight-session winning streak, as traders weighed continued dollar inflows linked to the Jio Platforms IPO against rising crude oil prices and month-end dollar demand. The rupee opened at 94.47 against the dollar after ending the previous session at 94.46. Forex traders expect the currency to trade in a narrow range of 94.5-94.60 during the day. The rupee has strengthened from around 96.60-96.70 in recent sessions, supported by foreign fund flows linked to the Rs 30,200-crore Jio IPO.
