Despite global uncertainties, foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows to India appear to have held their ground. The fact that gross FDI inflows were higher by 20.6 % year-on-year (y-o-y) to $54.9 billion this fiscal till August is a welcome development. Robust gross FDI that hit $94.5 billion last fiscal reflect the interest of global investors in India’s growth story. The inflows are also up in net terms.
