Global Market: China stocks extend losing streak to 12 weeks as global AI selloff hits tech shares
China's CSI300 index fell to a one-year low, extending its losing streak to 12 weeks as a global AI stock selloff weighed on technology shares. The index is down 14% over 12 weeks and on track for its steepest monthly decline since July, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng advanced.

Chinese blue-chip stocks edged lower on Friday, October 30, and were headed for a 12th consecutive weekly decline as a global selloff in artificial intelligence-related stocks weighed on investor sentiment. However, Hong Kong-listed technology and internet companies bucked the broader regional trend, helping the Hang Seng Index advance, Reuters reported. The CSI300 Index, which tracks China's blue-chip stocks, fell 0.4% to a one-year low by the lunch break.
