Buzzing Stocks: Akums Drugs, VRL Logistics, KRBL rally up to 11% after strong Q2 earnings

The collaboration aims to industrialise the technology for applications involving resin coatings on automotive and aerospace components. LIC Housing Finance share price rose 2 percent after CLSA maintained 'outperform' rating with a target price of Rs 620 per share. Q2FY27 net interest income (NII) was in line with estimates, while lower credit costs due to recoveries from written-off accounts drove a 15 percent beat in profit after tax (PAT).

Net interest margin (NIM) remained stable quarter-on-quarter, and a 25 bps increase in prime lending rates is expected to support margins. TVS Holdings share price rose 2 percent after the company was allotted an additional 12.55 crore equity shares worth Rs 483.91 crore in its subsidiary Home Credit India Finance through a rights issue. Following the allotment, TVS Holdings' shareholding in the subsidiary remains unchanged at 74.45%.

Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals share price gained 5 percent after the company reported a 176.7 percent year-on-year surge in Q2 consolidated net profit to Rs 112.9 crore, while revenue increased 31.9 percent to Rs 1,342.4 crore. Carborundum Universal shares jumped 3% on reporting 83.8 percent year-on-year decline in Q2 net profit at Rs 12.04 crore, while revenue grew 13.2 percent to Rs 1,469 crore.

EBITDA increased 17.7 percent to Rs 184.1 crore, while EBITDA margin improved to 12.5 percent from 12.1 percent. Share price KRBL rose 11% after posting 50.4 percent year-on-year jump in Q2 net profit at Rs 259 crore, while revenue grew 14.3 percent to Rs 1,727.4 crore. EBITDA surged 46.7 percent to Rs 332.2 crore, while EBITDA margin expanded to 19 percent from 15 percent. VRL Logistics shares added 10% on posting more than two-fold year-on-year jump in Q2 net profit to Rs 103 crore from Rs 50 crore.

Revenue grew 20.7 percent to Rs 962 crore, while EBITDA surged 46.4 percent to Rs 221 crore. EBITDA margin expanded to 23 percent from 19 percent. Shares of Sheela Foam fell 5% after company reported a sharp rise in Q2 net profit to Rs 46.3 crore from Rs 9.7 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue grew 19.4 percent to Rs 1,045 crore from Rs 875 crore. EBITDA declined 4.6 percent to Rs 83.2 crore from Rs 87.1 crore, while EBITDA margin contracted to 8 percent from 10 percent YoY.
