‘Will expand non-insurance revenue within regulatory limits’: PB Fintech CEO
Policybazaar parent PB Fintech is evaluating non-insurance products and cost discipline to counter Irdai's proposed commission cuts that threaten core revenues.

Policybazaar is looking to expand its non-insurance revenue streams as the online insurance aggregator navigates regulatory headwinds from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India’s (Irdai) proposed commission reforms, which could impact more than a third of its revenue. ”We will expand our non-insurance revenue as the regulator permits. And as any long-term business should, we are evaluating other options to strengthen our business over time," Yashish Dahiya, Chairman & Group CEO, PB Fintech, which owns Policybazaar and credit aggregator platform Paisabazaar, said during the company’s second-quarter earnings call.
